Prodest is a women cooperative working on training courses and European projects, with the European Social Found and other structural funds. Prodest supports measures to combat unemployment and to develop human resources and to promote equality between women and men into the labour market, using training courses and improving the level of the education of the workforce.
Main activities that Prodest carry out centred in the field of promotion of the development in the depressed areas, offering services to the public administration and enterprises, especially women’s enterprises.
Prodest cooperates with OAME (Organization Argentina Mujeres Empresarias – connected to FCEM) in organizing exchange project, financed by the European Social Fund, between women workers from Italy and from abroad.
In an European and international dimension, Prodest cooperate in projects with partners coming from different countries: from old EU members to candidates and acceding countries, from Argentina to Morocco.
On 2004 Prodest has realized a Women’s Information and Guidance Counter for business, thanks to the financial contribution of European Social Fund and Region of Lombardy - Italy.
This Counter started with the aim of helping women who want to set up their own business, and also women workers who’d like to internationalise their business.
Prodest is managing successfully a project on Phare Small Program 2004 called “Franchising opportunity for new European women” , to contribute to the integration of entrepreneurs women coming from Phare countries (Poland, Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia), with a focus on different subjects: gender opportunities, franchising opportunities, access to structural funding, enlargement opportunities for women.
